My name is Alejandro Barrera, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to ABMUN as your president for the Security Council.
In a world where natural resources are essential for the survival and development of nations, their scarcity can become a source of tension and conflict.
From disputes over shared water resources to illegal mining and the influence of armed groups, this topic challenges us to consider how these issues can threaten international peace and the stability of neighboring countries. As delegates, you will have the opportunity to explore these challenges and propose solutions through international cooperation.
Throughout this debate, different perspectives will emerge, and difficult decisions will have to be made.
