Dear delegates, welcome to the eleventh edition of ABMUN. My name is Victoria Mora and I greet you from the Security Council, which I have the honor of chairing alongside my Co-President Samuel Garcia.
In this session, we will address political instability and the rise of armed groups in West Africa, a situation that threatens international security and has resulted in severe human rights violations and humanitarian crises.
Your thoughts and ideas are essential to the debates' success, so let’s take advantage of this chance to help create a brighter future and enjoy our time together.
See you soon!
Hello Delegates, this is Samuel García, your president for Security Council.
For many, Security Council is considered to be the most important committee in the United Nations. The topic at hand, “Armed Groups and Political Instability in West Africa”, goes beyond a problematic from just Africa, since it affects international security and requires the attention of all countries to prevent the conflict from escalating.
Decisions will be made, and differences will come to light. But delegates must make sure to prioritize the world’s security through dialogue and diplomacy.
Alongside Vicky, we hope to see you there and enjoy the debate!
