ABOUT US
ABMUN is an academic simulation that seeks to recreate the work and debates of the United Nations, allowing students to engage in diplomatic discussions and decision-making processes.
Through this experience, delegates develop critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, and teamwork skills while addressing global challenges from diverse perspectives. ABMUN promotes cultural understanding and awareness of international affairs, encouraging young people to become active and responsible citizens capable of contributing to a more just and cooperative world.
MISION
ABMUN main purpose is to provide the necessary and adequate scenarios for students to first of all develop a conscious, opened, analytic and critic vision of the world situation and main problematics, for later propose innovative, creative, effective and viable solutions. During this process students will acquire the necessary skills and abilities, such as a good oratory, argument and social development to carry on projects, becoming suitable leaders of this new globalized world.
VISION
We expect ABMUN to be recognized in Colombia, not only as an important academic event, but also as a healthy environment to share new and wholesome perspectives.
Likewise, we hope to maintain our on-going values of respect, acknowledgement of others and comprehension. Additionally, ABMUN's future delegates must be prepared to reach accordingly a high level of speech eloquence and debate, contributing with meaningful interventions and giving realistic resolutions in order to solve the incoming globe's crises.
In few words, our main goal is to conceive global and well-regarded citizens to give back what the world has given us.
