Hello delegates, my name is Isabella Mendoza and I am the president of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Together with my president Tomás Suárez we are pleased to have you in ABMUN XI.
In this committee you will be judges, debating issues such as the use of Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems in the military conflicts of the Middle East and the systematic attack of activists in the United States and Latin America.
We hope it will be a fruitful debate in which viable solutions are found so that little by little we can build a better world together.
Hello delegates, my name is Tomás Suárez and I have the honor of presiding, together with my colleague Isabella Mendoza, over the International Criminal Court, where this year we will focus on the following topics: the development and use of lethal autonomous weapons systems in contemporary armed conflicts in the Middle East, and the systematic persecution of leaders and activists in Latin America and the United States.
